Wataru Sugimoto has been elected to serve as the President Elect for ISE.
Results of the ISE Executive Committee Elections 2026 By a very small margin of only 1%, Wataru Sugimoto has been elected as the next President Elect for the International Society of Electrochemistry (ISE) starting January 2027. The 2 year term as President Elect will be followed by 2 years as President and 2 more years as Immediate Past President. Wataru will be attending the 77th Annual Meeting in Sydney and wishes to interact with as many colleagues as possible.

環境省が公募した「令和7年度 地域共創・セクター横断型カーボンニュートラル技術開発・実証事業」において、研究開発課題「再エネの導入促進に資するSi系負極を用いた系統用電力貯蔵システムに関する技術開発」が採択され、プレスリリースしました。詳しくはこちら。 信州大学が代表機関となり、ＴＤＫ株式会社、鳥取大学、早稲田大学、ヴェルヌクリスタル株式会社と共同で、黒鉛負極をSi系負極に置き換えた高エネルギー密度、高出力/長寿命の次世代リチウムイオン二次電池の開発に取り組みます。
